Defensor + Belmonte = LIE!

Belmonte belies text rumor in Quezon City
By Reinir Padua (philstar.com)

MANILA, Philippines -- Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte belied a circulating text mesage alleging that he has shifted his support from mayoralty bet Herbert Bautista to Mike Defensor.
"That's utterly flase," Belmonte, who is running for congressman in the fourth district of the city, told reporters after casting his vote at the Christ the King seminary.
The text messages were reportedly received by some barangay chairmen this morning.
Belmonte said he had to call up some of the village chiefs to deny the rumor. The city mayor called it "political trickery at its worse."
??
-- This issue SUCKS!!!! hellar!!wala na ba sila ibang pwede ilabas na gimik??? who will believe that belmonte will support Defensor eh tuta nya si Herbert??? Bautista even promised that he will continue Belmonte's unfinished projects in QC. (if there's any) all I could see is the SB sign all around the metro

Stars invaded Quezon City

Here is a list of candidates of showbiz personalities running in the election..

However, these celebrities have one thing in common: their capacity to draw crowds.

Defensor himself admitted that he benefits from the star power of his runningmate, actress Aiko Melendez.

He said Melendez “complements" his campaign with a mix of mass appeal and political experience.

Malakas talaga ang hatak niya sa baba, sa masa. In a way, we are complementing each other, since she has been a councilor for a long time," he said.

--- But the question.. alam ba nila ang duties and responsibilities  ng posisyong inaasam nila??? alam ba nila ang gagawin nila once they've given the chance? yes they are popular..but are they capable???

Can Bistek handle the position?

After all the allegations thrown to Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista, he cannot explain directly to the people all these accusations. Instead, throw back questions to his opponent. if he cannot explain himself to the people, what makes the people think that he can serve them honestly and with integrity??? To make this blog short, I believe that Bistek is not capable in handling the position of being  Mayor..maybe after a million years!

Ang krediblidad ni Boy Abunda bow...

ISANG SPEECH OF “superlatives” ang binitiwan ni Boy Abunda before a motley group of barangay officials at a dinner hosted by QC mayor wannabe Mike Defensor at the Celebrity Sports Plaza last Wednesday.
For starters, Kuya Boy and Mike go a long way, kaya ganu’n na lang ang suporta ng TV host sa pambatong alkalde ng lungsod. Aminadong hindi napaghandaan ni Kuya Boy ang kanyang talumpati, na mas “ikinakaba” ko knowing that his unpreparedness actually means he has a lot to say. And he had.
Tatlong puntos sa pagkatao ni Mike ang ipinagdiinan ni Kuya Boy with an “umbrella adjective” being excellent: as a leader, as a family man and as a friend. Having known Mike for the longest time, Kuya Boy is not about to stake his revered name kung hindi siya naniniwala sa kakayahan ng kaibigan.
Of all the insightful stories na ibinahagi ni Kuya Boy, there was one that caught my fancy. “Alam n’yo ho, si Mike ang tipo ng kaibigan na ‘pag type namin ang isang lalaki halimbawa sa kalye, siya ang lalapit at makikipagkilala para sa amin.”
Of course, it was a joke. Pero hindi biro ang maka-kalyeng karisma ni Mike who, let’s face it, is already pre-sold with his dashing looks. Ramdam niya ang pulso ng mga ordinaryong mamamayan who deserves no-nonsense public service.

- How much does Boy Bunda received when he did that speech? I don't believe him after all. Or I just don't like Mike Defensor to lead Quezon City.

Meet the Mayor

I was able to meet my bet for mayoralty in Quezon City, Mayor Mel Mathay, last Friday, 30th of April. Yes, he's quite old but he stands and deliver his thoughts as if he is  decade younger. I admire his determination, his integrity in answering all those questions that night.. And mostly, I admire his "kasipagan", kasi that night after the dinner he went to a rally in commonwealth pa. During his time, i remember ganun din sya..madalingi-approach and laging present. unlike Mayor Belmonte i hardly see him lalo na nung Ondoy. I hope the people of QC give Mathay a chance to serve them again...

"kapatid ng sinungaling ang magnanakaw"

"kapatid ng sinungaling ang magnanakaw" -- familiar with this?  well, in Quezon City's Mayoral Race ang "sinungaling" si Mike Defensor..ang "magnanakaw" si Herbert Bautista.. o bakit p sila magaaway kung magkapatid din lang nmn sila??? wala lang... but people in QC must not choose between those two...

is SB sign and his team an exemption???

I believe that there is a  20-year-old ordinance banning the display of any material promoting a politician, and has been tearing down billboards and banners with a political color.

But the campaign seems to be exempting the mayor, Feliciano "Sonny" Belmonte Jr., and his politician-daughter Joy Belmonte-Alimurong, whose Christimas season banners last December show their names and faces to passing city residents and motorists.

Since they have declared Joy Belmonte's candidacy last year, they started to do campaign by hanging large holiday banner  on the facade of the Quezon City hall, with the words "Happy holidays for a Joyful and Blissful New year." Noticeable on the banner was the prominence of the letters J, O, Y, and B.

A fact that is obvious to city residents: that large billboards also display the letters “S" and “B" (for “serbisyong bayan") in prominent red fonts. “SB" are also the initials of Mayor Sonny Belmonte.

Isn't it so unfair to their other political contenders that they are using Sonny Belmonte's authority for their campaign, thus to let the people know that Quezon city is owned by the belmontes???

A wise bet

A mayor serves as the executive officer of a city and is responsible for overseeing the enforcement of all city laws and ordinances. The duties of a mayor fall into three primary categories: legislative, appointment and removal, and administrative.

This coming May 10 election, who's your bet?..who do you trust to take these duties in Quezon City?

I..as a voter..i am proud to shade #6  MATHAY, Ismael Jr. A. I will entrust to him the next two years of Quezon City.

www.quezoncity.gov.ph BIAS SITE

Yesterday, I was searching for some news or update on what's happening around the metro of Quezon City. So I went to the official website of the government of QC. In my dismay, almost all the articles/blogs uploaded were all about Lakas Party's bet Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista and Joy Belmonte's campaign. I believe that site should contain news about the local government of Quezon City, not for promoting Mayor Sonny Belmonte's bet for the upcoming election. It is unfair for other candidates that Bautista and Belmonte is using the official site of Quezon city for their campaign..

Is Bautista as desperate as Defensor?

Let me repost this article by By ANGIE CHUI...

The camp of Quezon City mayoral bet Mel Mathay Jr. on Saturday said that the fake survey results released by the group of Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista showing him miles ahead of the competition is a clear indication that the latter is threatened by the growing support of QC residents for the former mayor.
“It is now clear that Vice Mayor Bautista is running scared. Mayor Mathay is taking Quezon City by storm. The support of the people is clearly there, judging from the warm welcome we are getting all over the city,” Bobbit Mathay, spokesman of his uncle, said.
“Our own internal surveys put us close behind Bautista. We don’t have the money and the resources of our opponents, but we do have the love and support of the people. The good vice mayor may be in for a rude awakening on May 10,” Mathay noted.
According to Mathay, the vice mayor, who is also seeking the mayoral post, should be ashamed for trying to project himself as an overwhelming frontrunner to condition the minds of Quezon City voters by using an alleged survey.
“The camp of Bautista now resorts to citing fictitious surveys that show him leading in the race for the mayoralty. It’s all black propaganda,” Mathay added.
The Bautista camp had earlier claimed that a survey showed him ahead supposedly by a wide margin over his opponents, survey which the firm denied conducting. But Mathay’s camp was told by the SWS that only surveys published in their website www.sws.org.ph can be considered authentic and official.
“Vice Mayor Bautista is seeing his popularity plummeting. Quezon City residents are now realizing his lack of accomplishments and misgovernance,” Mathay’s spokesman said.
“Quezon City is facing serious problems. What the city and the people need are not lies and mudslinging, but real solutions and genuine leadership,” he added.

All the while, I thought he is really the no.1 candidate in the survey. He even called Defensor "desperate" because of coming up with a fake survey.. TAPOS SYA DIN PLA???

QC employees' cry

And so I've heard that Quezon City employees will not support their beloved Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista. This is because the Belmonte-Bautista administration in QC holds their benefits including their COLA.

A protest rally was made by the employees and the KASAMA KA - QC (Kapisanan ng mga Manggagagawa at Kawani ng QC) with placards stating "COLA BACKPAY IBIGAY NA DAPAT. SAPAT NA ANG PONDO NG QC"

They were disappointed to Bautista because, according to them, he doesn't even made an effort to fight for the QC employees' right and benefits. It is so unfair for them that Mayor Sonny BELMONTE ordered to hold the fund for their COLA while his partner spend over millions of pesos for food and drinks every month..

MARRIAGE

To those who are married, .. Not married .. and
soon to be married, I hope you will be touched with ...this story...

MARRIAGE

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and
said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly.
Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know
what I was thinking. I want a divorce.. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly,
why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the
chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't
talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what
had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory
answer; she had lost my heart to Dew. I didn't love her anymore. I just
pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated
that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent
ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for
her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I
had said for I loved Dew so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of
me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a
kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several
weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something
at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell
asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not
care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want
anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce.

She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a
life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a
month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken
marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to
recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that everyday for the month's duration I carry her out of
our bedroom to the front door ever morning.. I thought she was going
crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd
request.

I told Dew about my wife's divorce conditions.. . She laughed loudly and
thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to
face the divorce, she said scornfully..

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was
explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we
both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy
in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to
the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in
my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about
the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside
the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the
office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my
chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I
hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time.. I realized she
was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair
was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I
wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy
returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was
growing again. I didn't tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry
her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me
stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few
dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my
dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so
thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me... she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her
heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mum out.
To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an
essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer
and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I
might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms,
walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her
hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly;
it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held
her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I
held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked
intimacy.

I drove to office.... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the
door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind...I walked
upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not
want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead.. Do you have
a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I
won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I
didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each
other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on
our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed
the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my
wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and
wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I
run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a
relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the
bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot
give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend
and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a
real happy marriage!

If you don't share this, nothing will happen to you.

If you do, you just might save a marriage.

Talking about honesty..

We all know that incumbent Vice Mayor of Quezon City and Mayoralty aspirant Herbert "Bistek" Bautista faces several case including graft charged by the Ombudsman. He claims that all of these are just political harassment, yet he couldn't even explain the questionable expense of his office.

With this, I would say Bravo Bistek! for having the guts of saying “honesty is my refuge and defense".??????

Age doesn't matter

In the mayoralty race in Quezon City, former mayor Mel Mathay is he oldest candidate at the age of 77. Despite  of it, he is firm to reclaim the mayoral post. According to him, there are serious problems in the city that needs attention and resolution.

Honestly, I admire his determination. At his age, he should be resting, enjoying his life with his grandchildren. Instead, he still choose to serve the people of Quezon City. I believe that he deserve to reclaim the throne of the the country's richest city.

Yesterday doesn't matter
Tommorow we may not ever know
So listen to me now
As I try to say
That all I want is you today ...

If you only knew
What you put me through
You might not have gone away
Have you ever felt
Even for a while
Something's missin' in your life ...
(Repeat Chorus)

All I want is you today
If you don't need me anymore
Don't say it
If you don't love me anymore
Don't show it
Because this life I have is yours
So maybe you could try not to love me again ...

Chorus 2:
Yesterday doesn't matter
Tommorow I just might be gone
So listen to me now
As I try to say
That all I want is you today ...

All I want is you today ...

Who's Kris' bet?????

She is the Philippines' Queen of Talk and sister of "Mr. anti-corruption".. But guess who's she supporting for Mayor in QC..none other than vice Mayor Herbert Bautista aka 'Mr. Plunder".

How ironic, while her brother and the party promotes for a "No stealing" campaign, she endorses a candidate who was charged with PLUNDER. I don't think her parents would agree on that.. they might be super duper against with it to the nth power!

23 days to go..

MAY 10 2010- JUDGMENT DAY... Quezon City is restless from the issues during the campaign period. The mayoralty candidates kept on throwing garbage to each other for them to win the attention of the people. But then, I am happy that no one got hurt or no blood spilled during the campaign period (as compared to other provinces). in the end, the power is in our hands. we have all the authority to choose who will reign and lead our city. Remember, don't vote for the a corrupt person, or the "mandaraya". Please vote wisely...

My beloved QC

Quezon City (Filipino: Lungsod Quezon), is the former capital (1948–1976) and the most populous city in the Philippines. Located on the island of Luzon, Quezon City (popularly known to Filipinos as simply QC) is one of the cities and municipalities that make up Metro Manila, the National Capital Region. The city was named after Manuel L. Quezon, the former president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines who founded the city and developed it to replace Manila as the country's capital. Quezon City is not located in and should not be confused with Quezon province, which was also named after the president.

Having been the former capital, many government offices are located in the city, including the Batasang Pambansa, the seat of the House of Representatives, which is the lower chamber in the Philippine Congress. The main campuses of two noteworthy universities, the Ateneo de Manila University and the country's National University—the University of the Philippines, Diliman—are located in the city.

Today, Quezon City is one the the country's center of tourism because of its new infrastructures and five-star hotels. And so my fellow voters, the future of our city is in our hands. In this coming election, please vote wisely for out beloved city.

The Bloggers' side

Let me re-post this comic strip from a blogger. This caught my attention. Bistek had just called a conference for all the bloggers and on-line users to tell the public to ignore his involvement on corruption scandals that has been circulating on the internet from the start of the campaign period.

I believe that the internet is taking the place of newspapers. It offers the truth because the users hungers for the truth. I am a blogger and let me re-post of what my co-blogger had just published on his site: Truth resides in every bloggers heart, and one has to search for it there, and to be guided by truth as sees it. But no one has a right to coerce others to act according to his own view of truth.

Mel Mathay's stand on abortion

In a Mayoralty forum held at St. Peter in Commonwealth, former City Mayor Mel Mathay was asked about his stand in the issue of abortion. Of course, he was and still hi is against with it. And the reasons are...

First, his fear of God.

Second, his respect for human life.

Third, his regard for responsibility.

Such a great man...he has my vote in the race..

Oh by the way, how about Mr. Bautista's thoughts? too bad he wasn't there..

Saturday, April 10, 2010

SALI?

Ang gusot sa pagitan ni Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista at Mike Defensor ay matutuldukan lamang pagkaapos ng eleksyon. People are sick and tired of their gimmickry. Now, Anne Susano is claiming that she also has a copy of Bistek's questionable 2.7 Billion expense bago pa magkaron si Mike Defensor. Oh come on please...can't she have her own gimmick better than this?

confusion...

how would you differentiate love from infatuation?..have you experienced being confused between the two? did someone got hurt? or you're the one who's in pain? I'm still looking for the answers..for some might think that it has an obvious answer..but believe me..once you're there in the situation you'll forget what was your answer ...

Friday, April 9, 2010

What she's up to?

I've read a short article from a tabloid way back last year questioning Anne Susano's candidacy for Mayor in Quezon City. Here is an interesting part the article Tatakbong Mayor ng Lungsod Quezon si Rep.

I heard she even has a 50-million plan for schools in QC. Oh well, she' s just somebody who pretends to have admirable principles in other word - hypocrite

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Selfishness and Martyrdom

SELFISHNESS comes from the word selfish - concerned with your own interests, needs, and wishes while ignoring those of others.

MARTYR - somebody who experiences frequent or constant pain from something

These two has to be apart. Live their lives separately. To stop hurting each other's feeling. So if there's still little of this left:

LOVE - transitive and intrnsitive verb to feel romantic and longing for somebody

they could still save of what they have...

The False Asia Survey

In every election, candidates do release propaganda against their opponents. Why? to win the sympathy of the people as well as their votes. Okay, and so it became their usual strategy. But do you think blogging about a false survey in QC would help winning the race? Oh well, Mike Defensor I guess thought of that way. After the Pulse Asia denied that they conducted a survey for QC's mayoralty bets, Defensor's credibility becomes questionable. Wrong move for The Palace' Golden Boy...hhmmm..

Monday, April 5, 2010

Whose campaign I can award my seal of approval???

In the mayoralty race in Quezon City, there are five candidates running for the position. There's the incumbent Vice Mayor of Q.C., Herbert Baustista, GMA's so called "Golden Boy" Mike Defensor, former Mayor of Q.C. Mel Mathay, Ariel Inton, Councilor of 1st district of Q.C., and QC's 2nd district Representative Anne Susano.

As expected, each candidates have their own gimik to win the vote of the people. For some, there are only 2 big choices in this race, between Bistek and Mike Defensor. Before, I asked my self "Why do people of QC and the media as well, always talk about the two candidates? about what they have done and what that can do for the city." "Sila lang ba ang may magagwang mabuti para sa QC?" Then, I started to follow every news about those guys and realized that maybe the reason why they keep on throwing issues to each other is because they just wanted to make some noise about their candidacy. To make them more popular in the race. But does it have to be like that? Why they can't just do their campaign without releasing propaganda with their contenders? Take it from Mel Mathay, it's better to win the election without detracting your opponents.

A good Mayor should have a clean conscience and principle. Kumander Bawang has a questionable 9 million of expenses for food and drinks every month during his entire term. The Golden Boy's blogging about the fase survey of qc made him a big liar. With this, are they still the two big choices of yours? I just give my vote to the man that has already proven his capability to be the Chief Executive of Quezon City. Mel Mathay is a good choice.. he is my choice, I hope he is yours too.

Friday, April 2, 2010

Im in OH!

If Mayor Atienza of Manila had beautified the dead spots in Manila, well Quezon City has former Mayor Mhel Mathay who initiated some infrastructures that made the City more elite yet relaxing. Take a look at these photos and see the projects that the former Mayor has done

.

Looks familiar?..Yes, the ever elusive elegance of Eastwood in Libis, the humble but yet classy structure of the Trinoma Mall, and the well designed facade of the UP Technohub are some of the well done projects of the former Mayor. Don't you think he could have done more if he had just extend his term as the City Mayor? or he could do much better than these projects if the people will give him the spot this coming election..Oh well, as a voter, I would surely vote for the candidate that has proven his capacity and determination in handling the position and by making his promised projects possible.

Defensor dares Bistek

Incumbent Vice Mayor Herbert "Bistek" Bautista was asked to explain about his alleged ghost projects in Q.C. by Mike Defensor, his opponent in a Mayoralty race.

Bautista was accused of procuring P50 t P70 million worth of "ghost projects" out of the P300 million peso fund of the Office of the Vice Mayor. Other additional expenses, including P733,000 spent for "Tahanan," were procured through negotiated contracts, which Defensor said are also ghost projects.

He said such "ghost projects" were tagged under expenses for "foods" or food and drinks.

Defensor said that Baustista has no done any projects during his 9-year term of being a city Vice Mayor

Bistek's opponent has still collating data and looking for a possible legal action

ano ba yan lagi na lang syang no show..no show na sa debate no show pa din sa kaso nya. sayang.. before I believe that he's one of the successful and with good intentions showbiz personalities who have entered the politics. with this kind of attitude i don't think he'll be a good mayor to qc.

a painful thought

I always say that at the end of the day you'll realize that you're still in love with the same person who caused you a lot of pain. Even if there is already someone who makes you feel so special..makes you feel that you are worthy. Even if that person offers his undying love for you..the kind of love that you've been waiting for...But then you ask your self "Why I can't love this man the way I have loved that shit?"..I believe that you'll only have one great love in your lifetime and it's just so sad to know that the one great love of yours is the one who have caused you so much pain and the reason why you can't give your heart to anyone again..

I wonder why some of the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates withdraw their participation in a debate in Abs Cbn? Same thing with QC Mayoral Candidate Herbert Bautista, also withdraw from participating in a debate with his opponents (Mhel Mathay, Mike Defensor)..what are they up to?..afraid perhaps? or proud that they don't need to lay down their cards because they are confident that they could win the election?..oohh well..that's sucks..
